Campview Farm is a fully functional family business with a broad range of agricultural machinery that operates throughout the year.

Its current mixed enterprises include dairy, beef and sheep. The farm operates with 30 lambing ewes and a herd of 40 spring calving cows in which the calves are reared from birth for the beef enterprise.

The farm is open for groups to visit from June until October. They can accommodate groups of any size but find groups of 16 or less get the best out of the farm visit. They have flexible visiting hours from Monday to Saturday. Depending on the needs of the group they provide a detailed farm tour or a more detailed and hands-on farm experience. The tour is also suitable for educational groups.

The farm tour is a guided walk around the farm covering the following: The history of the farm, a guided tour of the farmyard and its facilities including the milking parlour, tour of the farmland to view the dairy cows, sheep and potatoes and a visit to the onsite Turlough.

The farm experience is more of a hands-on visit which includes all of the above in the tour description in addition to the following: Dig and learn about potatoes, loading barley into a corn crusher and then feeding it to the sheep, a demonstration of the old style milk bottler which was traditionally used, bringing the cows from the field to the milking parlour, observing the cows being milked and feeding the calves milk. Feeding calves milk is only available late afternoons.

Campview Farm is easily accessible located just off the old Ballyshannon to Bundoran R267 road with parking facilities. Please note the farm is a fully operational farm and not an open farm. This allows the visitors to see what is involved in a working farm from the farmer’s point of view. Farm safety is a priority and as a result there will always be two people from the farm with a group at any one time.

Booking is essential and games can also be included for children. These games include tyre hill roll, obstacle courses and penning a lamb.
